- October 2 – 75-year-old Philip John Dietz is struck and killed by a 2002 BMW as he attempts to cross Dolley Madison Boulevard at the intersection of Madison McLean Drive in McLean.[1]
- October 25 – 72-year-old Herbert James, Jr. is struck and killed by a 2013 Toyota Corolla as he attempts to cross Beulah Street at the intersection of Kingstowne Commons Drive in Alexandria.[2]
- October 26 – 46-year-old Hirute Siyum is struck and killed by a motorcyclist riding a 2016 Suzuki motorcycle as she runs across Old Keene Mill Road at its intersection with Field Master Drive in Springfield.[3]
