Amy T. Goodloe

Dr. Amy Tonnesen Goodloe is the principal of Rocky Run Middle School.

Amy L. Tonnesen graduated from Oakton High School in 1991, then attended the University of Virginia, graduating in 1996 with master's degrees in education and psychological science and teaching.[1] While at UVA, Tonnesen met her husband Jason and the couple would go on to have three children.[1]

Following her graduation, Goodloe started teaching at Lees Corner Elementary School. Goodloe became an assistant principal at Sangster Elementary School in 2001, and took her doctorate in educational leadership from UVA in 2003.[1]

After five years at Sangster, Goodloe moved over to Oak Hill Elementary School in 2006 and became the school's fourth principal just over a year later, replacing Marie Merenda.[1][2]

In May 2016, Goodloe became the principal of Rocky Run Middle School. Retired principal Dan Meier became the interim principal of Oak Hill.
