Steven Matthews

Steven Matthews was a 13-year-old child who was beaten to death with a baseball bat by his father, Joseph B. Matthews, who also mortally wounded his other 2 children, Steven's twin sister Sharon and older sister Susan, and attempted to murder his wife Helen, then committed suicide by slashing his own throat at the family home at 6505 Highland Street in Springfield on April 11, 1959.[1][2]
