Philip W. Allin

Philip W. "Phil" Allin is an entrepreneur and the chairman of the Fairfax County Water Authority's board of directors.

Allin was born in Washington, D.C. and grew up in Bethesda and Chevy Chase, Maryland. He graduated from the University of Maryland with a BS in Business Administration and Finance in 1980.[1]

In 1982, Allin moved to Alexandria, and to Springfield in 1984.[1] While living in Springfield, Allin first became interested in public service, working on the interminable revitalization of the downtown Springfield business district.[1]

In 1988, Allin moved to Centreville with his new wife Carol, and in 1991 became the treasurer for Michael Frey's campaign to become the supervisor from the newly-created Sully District.[1] His work on Frey's campaign was rewarded when Frey appointed Allin to the Fairfax County Water Authority's board of directors in 1992.

After serving in various roles on the FCWA board, Allin was elected chairman on September 7, 2006.[2]
