Munson Hill Presbyterian Church

The Munson Hill Presbyterian Church was a congregation in Falls Church active from 1951 to 1992.

The 11 founders of the church first met at the Munson Hill Farm of Donald and Anne Wilkes on October 28, 1951.[1] After holding services for six months, the church was formally organized in April 1952.[2]

Construction of the $50,000 church building began in July 1952.[3] The church's first pastor, the Reverend Robert S. Miles, was called in November 1952.[1]

The first meeting in the new church was held on January 18, 1953, and the church was formally dedicated on February 8.[2][3]

Concerned that the Presbyterian Church in the United States was growing too liberal in its views, the church withdrew from the PCUS and joined the Reformed Presbyterian Church, Evangelical Synod in 1972, installing the Reverend Paul A. Koepke as their new pastor in October.[4]

In June 1992, the church building was sold to the Chinese Christian Church of Virginia.
