Events that took place in Fairfax County in March, 2016:
- March 11 – 83-year-old Johan De Leede is fatally shot at his home at 6017 River Drive in Lorton.[1][2] De Leede is taken to the hospital, where he dies.[1]
- March 14 – 25-year-old Cristian G. Dominguez unintentionally kills himself and his front-seat passenger, 28-year-old Cristian A. Merino, when he crashes the Saturn he is driving into a tree on Burke Commons Road in Burke.[3]
- March 25 – 29-year-old William G. Martines-Palma is fatally stabbed in the Rose Hill area of Alexandria by 19-year-old John Martin Mercado. Martines-Palma is first taken to the Inova HealthPlex, but later moved to Inova Fairfax Hospital, where he dies.[4][5]
