Jose Rodriguez (Murderer)

Jose Rodriguez (b. December 14, 1985) is a murderer and at the time the youngest person ever so charged in Fairfax County.

Early on the morning of July 30, 2000, the 14-year-old Rodriguez, looking to improve his street cred with the MS-13 youth organization, fatally stabbed 22-year-old Mario A. Rubio-Martinez in the parking lot of the Culmore Shopping Center in Falls Church.[1]

On January 26, 2001, Rodriguez was convicted of second-degree murder.[1] Judge Henry E. Hudson sentenced Rodriguez to serve 23 years of his 35-year prison sentence on July 5, 2001.[2]

Currently serving his sentence at the Lunenburg Correctional Center in Victoria, Virginia, Rodriguez is scheduled to be released on April 5, 2021.
