John P. Reynolds, Jr.

Lieutenant John P. Reynolds, Jr. (January 24, 1943 – April 1, 1970) was a 27-year-old naval engineer from Arlington who was killed when the Cessna 150H he was flying crashed near Burke on April 1, 1970.[1]

Lieutenant Reynolds was flying from Washington National Airport to Manassas when he encountered weather worse than forecast and had apparently tried to reverse course before he crashed into trees near Sydenstricker Road.[1][2]
