Bucknell Elementary School is a public elementary school in Alexandria.

At the Fairfax County School Board meeting of February 9, 1954, Allen C. Minnix and Sons was awarded the $363,897 contract for construction of Bucknell. Of the three bids for the school Minnix's was the lowest submitted, but was still $40,000 more than had been allocated for the work.[1]

At the December 7, 1954 school board meeting, Woodlawn Elementary School Principal Sylvia D. Allen was named to head Bucknell in anticipation of its opening the following month.[2]

LaRonda Peterson became the principal of the school on November 7, 2016.[3]
