Willow Oaks Corporate Center

Willow Oaks Corporate Center is a three-building business park in the Merrifield region of Fairfax.

It is owned as part of the KBS Real Estate Investment Trust II portfolio, which was created by KBS Capital Markets Group. The trust acquired the three buildings on August 26, 2009 from Prudential Real Estate Investors for $197 million. [1]

The first two buildings in the center were completed in 1986 and 1989. Prentiss Properties Trust acquired the two buildings on the 11.4 acre site in 1998 for $72.4 million, and completed a third building in 2003. The site was then sold to Prudential in 2005 for $125.6 million.[1]

On November 21, 2009, the body of 43-year-old Annandale woman Verena T. Stutts was found in her burned vehicle on the property.[2]
