Sherwood Regional Library

The Sherwood Regional Library is in Alexandria.

It opened in 1971 and was the first regional library in the Fairfax County Public Library system.

The library closed in February 1991 and underwent a $3.1 million renovation. A subsequent shortfall in the county budget very nearly precluded its reopening the next year.[1]
