Marion J. Newman

Marion J. Newman was a 72-year-old resident of North Springfield who was murdered in her home at 7102 Reservoir Road in the Crestwoods neighborhood on November 20, 2006 by being beaten and smothered to death.[1][2]

She was the second of the linked Diamond Ring Murders, so named because a unique diamond ring was taken from her as a trophy by the killer.
