James S. Baumstark

James S. "Jim" Baumstark is a former Fairfax County Police Department officer.

Baumstark joined the FCPD in 1989. His first patrol assignment was the West Springfield District Station.[1] He later moved to the Mount Vernon District Station and was promoted to sergeant.[1]

In 2010, Baumstark was promoted to captain. He took command of the Franconia District Station on July 28, 2012.[1]

On November 9, 2015, Baumstark became the deputy chief in charge of the operations bureau of the Asheville, North Carolina Police Department.
