James A. McWhorter, Sr.

James Alexander McWhorter, Sr. (d. June 1, 1979) was an engineer, real estate developer and businessman in Annandale.[1]

Among McWhorter's many businesses were the Annandale Water Company, which was purchased by Fairfax County in 1959 to form the core of the Fairfax County Water Authority, and the Annandale Shopping Center.
