The 80,383 square foot shopping center was built in 1956 by James A. McWhorter, Sr..

The large 31,671 square foot anchor space was formerly occupied by a Bloom supermarket, which closed in January 2012.[1] In May 2017, the space was finally occupied, albeit only partially, by the opening of an ALDI grocery and home store.
