- April 14 – 75-year-old Maria Ascencio is struck twice and killed by a 2016 Dodge Dart driven by 31-year-old Kenan M. Ozcan as she attempts to cross Rugby Road at Route 50 in Fairfax.[1]
- April 14 – 50-year-old Pedro Banegas is struck and killed by the 1994 Mack dump truck he is working on in Great Falls when another man climbs in the truck and moves it.[2]
- April 20 – 77-year-old Cong Huu Nguyen is found murdered in his apartment at the Little River Glen retirement community in Fairfax.[3]
- April 29 – 27-year-old Enrique R. Vanterpool is shot to death to settle an argument at the TMT Auto Body shop at 5750-F General Washington Drive in the Alexandria area.[4][5]
