University Mall Theatres

University Mall Theatres is a movie theater in the University Mall in Fairfax.

The theater originally opened as the University "3" theater on September 21, 1977. It was later rebranded as Showcase University 3 and Cineplex Odeon Showcase University 3 before closing in August 1988.

The theater reopened on July 26, 1991 under the ownership of Mark O'Meara.[1]

In August 2014, the theater conducted a successful KickStarter campaign, raising over $100,000 to replace the seats in its auditoriums.[1][2]
