Messiah United Methodist Church

The Messiah United Methodist Church is in Springfield.

The church was established as the Messiah Methodist Church with the appointment of the Reverend Robert T. Knox as its first pastor in June of 1964.[1][2] The first service was held on October 11, 1964 in the Accotink Academy Pre-School, and the church was officially chartered on December 13.[3]

Some time between the late evening of November 10 and the early morning of November 11, 1994, the church was one of four broken into, and money stolen from the church office.[4]
