- July 2 – 21-year-old David B. Wright pleads guilty to first-degree murder, malicious wounding, and use of a firearm for fatally shooting 33-year-old Woo Il Pak and wounding Pak's 30-year-old wife Sunye during a botched robbery at the Shell Food Mart at 5757 Seminary Road in Falls Church on April 22.[1]
