Hubert S. Monger

Hubert Seldon Monger (October 29, 1897 – October 13, 1913) was a 15-year-old from Elkton, Virginia who was fatally injured during the construction of the Alexandria Water Company's dam at Barcroft on October 13, 1913.[1][2]

Monger was working for the Piedmont Construction Company as a helper on a steam drill when the machine rolled over on him, crushing his skull. He was rushed to Alexandria Hospital, where he died later that evening.[1][2]
