- December 5 – Following a minor traffic accident, 59-year-old Kil Sun Flom is hit by a pumper truck and killed in Tysons Corner.[1]
- December 12 – 34-year-old Colvin N. Morris is shot to death in Reston.[2]
- December 17 – 22-year-old Michael J. Henley is struck by two SUVs and mortally wounded in Fairfax Station. He is taken to a local hospital, where he is pronounced dead.[3]
