Constellis

Constellis is a private security company in Reston.

The company was originally founded as Triple Canopy in the Chicago suburb of Lincolnshire, Illinois in September 2003 by Matthew Mann and Tom Katis.

On April 2, 2004, CEO Barrett H. Moore left the company and director of operations Ignacio "Iggy" Balderas took over as CEO. Triple Canopy would later sue Moore and his wife Mary, as well as Triple Canopy Group, a holding group established by Moore.[1]

In 2005, Triple Canopy moved its headquarters to Herndon.[2]

On January 1, 2006, Lee A. Van Arsdale became CEO of Triple Canopy. Iggy Balderas remained with the company, taking a seat on the board of directors.

Triple Canopy moved to Two Reston Crescent in Reston in 2010.[3]

In June 2014 Triple Canopy merged with private security company Academi to become Constellis. Academi CEO Craig Nixon became CEO of the newly-merged company.[4]

With Nixon's departure in October 2015, Jason DeYonker became CEO of Constellis.
