Brent U. Shorter

Brent U. Shorter was a 51-year-old police snitch who was fatally shot by a Fairfax County Police officer behind a restaurant in the Rose Hill Shopping Center in the Franconia area of Alexandria on January 11, 2008.[1][2]

Shorter was shot after he refused FCPD officers' commands to drop a knife he was holding. He was taken to the Inova HealthPlex in Franconia, where he was pronounced dead.[1]

Earlier that week, Shorter had set up a controlled buy of four ounces of crack from 48-year-old independent narcotics salesman Richie L. Hagy.[2]
