Bharat P. Patel

Bharat P. Patel was a 40-year-old Reston man who was murdered near his apartment in the Winterthur Apartments by 20-year-old Abir Ali early on the morning of June 9, 2012.[1]

Patel was the co-owner of the Dunkin' Donuts franchise, along with Jay and Sri Vederey, that had opened three days earlier in the Hunters Woods Village Center.[1][2] He had become friendly with Ali while the two men worked at another Dunkin' Donuts franchise in Maryland.[3]
