- April 2 – 18-year-old Eric J. Sweigart rapes and murders 15-year-old Jennifer Ann Weller near the Montebello Apartments in Huntington.[1][2]
- April 9 – 46-year-old Jose I. Bonilla is stabbed to death by Jose Zetina Romero in a laundry room in the Culmore area of Falls Church.[3]
