- September 16 – 26-year-old Benjamin Wenger drunkenly kills himself and his 23-year-old girlfriend Abigail Ryan when he loses control of the speeding 2018 Infiniti Q50 he is driving and crashes into a tree on Beach Mill Road in Great Falls.[1][2]
- September 26 – 26-year-old Justin Wright is killed when he crashes his motorcycle into the rear wheels of the cab of a tractor trailer turning onto Backlick Road in Springfield.[3][4]
- September 27 – 52-year-old John F. Wood shoots up the law office of Maddox & Gerock at 8111 Gatehouse Road in Falls Church, then commits suicide.[5]
