Roy Buchanan

Roy Buchanan was a 48-year-old guitarist from Reston who was either murdered or committed suicide and was found hanged in the Fairfax County Adult Detention Center on August 14, 1988.[1]

Sheriff Carl R. Peed said at the time that Buchanan's was the first suicide in the jail since September 1980.[1]

Although rumors circulated that Buchanan had in fact been murdered, no evidence of this has ever been presented.
