Paul G. Gabelia

Paul George Gabelia was a 46-year-old Alexandria lawyer who was found strangled in the trunk of his burned 1991 Mercury Sable in a parking lot at River Birch and Dulles Technology Drive Herndon on September 1, 1996.[1]

Gabelia was found with his feet and knees bound with wire, and jumper cables wrapped around his neck.[2] The Fairfax County Police Department ruled his death was "suspicious", although the 2 detectives working the case, Bob Murphy and Dennis Harris, later came to believe it was an extremely bizarre suicide.[2]
