Mark E. Ives

Mark Earl Ives (June 25, 1985 - October 7, 2012) was a 30-year-old man who was stabbed to death by 30-year-old Manuel F. Garces in the 5400 block of Broadmoor Street in the Hayfield Farms neighborhood of Alexandria on October 7, 2012.[1]

Ives had just returned from a shopping excursion to Washington, D.C. to purchase recreational pharmaceuticals with his fiancé and Garces, who was also his fiancé's ex-boyfriend, when the two men engaged in a violent disagreement, which Garces settled by stabbing Ives.[2]
