Fana Belay

Fana Belay was a 32-year-old Eritrean immigrant who was stabbed to death by Anthony J. Simpson in her apartment in the Edsall Garden Apartments in Alexandria on September 27. 1995.[1]

Simpson evidently mistook Belay for his child's babysitter and attacked her when she opened the door to her apartment, stabbing her several times in front of her 8-year-old daughter.[1][2]
