Ethel J. Marsh

Ethel Joan Marsh was a 40-year-old secretary who was shot to death while hiding in the upstairs bedroom of a neighbor's townhouse at 7309 Jon Paul Lane in Alexandria by her former boyfriend, 36-year-old Henry S. Robinson, on September 29, 1969.[1]

Marsh had fled her own home at 7305 Jon Paul Lane following an argument with Robinson.[1] About five minutes after taking shelter in the home owned by Mr. and Mrs. Larry G. Ingrams, Robinson kicked in the front door, walked up the stairs, kicked in the bedroom door and shot Marsh five times without saying a word.[1]

Marsh was the mother of four children and had been estranged from her husband Matthew for several years.[1]
