Dexter S. Odin

Dexter S. Odin (b. August 24, 1934) is a lawyer who served as the first Fairfax County Attorney from 1967 to 1969. He later served as town attorney for the town of Herndon from 1974 to 1991.

Odin had served nearly four years as an assistant Commonwealth's attorney when he became county attorney on February 1, 1967.[1][2]

On October 2, 1968, Odin announced his resignation, effective January 1, 1969, and entered private practice with former assistant County Attorney David E. Feldman.[2] This firm is today known as Odin, Feldman & Pittleman.

In 1972, Odin was admitted to the Virginia Bar Association.[3]

While maintaining his private practice, Odin became the town attorney for the Town of Herndon in 1974, serving until 1991.[4]
