- April 2 – 31-year-old Ubaldo Lopez Yanez fatally stabs 36-year-old Jose Ramirez Guardado in a vacant unit in the Fairmont Gardens apartments in Annandale.[1][2]
- April 13 – Former Lanier Middle School principal Scott F. Poole takes over as principal of W.T. Woodson High School.[3]
