Events that took place in Fairfax County in April, 1990:
- April 7 – The Lorton Library opens.[1]
- April 8 – While fleeing the scene of another crash, 26-year-old Juan Landeros kills 54-year-old Mabel Rastatter and 84-year-old Esther B. Rastatter and fatally injures 58-year-old Joseph A. Rastatter when Landeros crashes the 1979 Mercury Marquis he is driving head-on into the Rastatters' 1989 Nissan Sentra. Joseph Rastatter is flown to Fairfax Hospital, where he dies.[2][3]
- April 26 – 22-year-old Rita Morris is stabbed to death in the parking lot of the Statesman Motel at 5963 Richmond Highway in Alexandria by 18-year-old Kendra L. Geter to settle a disagreement between Morris and Geter's mother.[4][5][6]
- April 26 – 26-year-old Saturino Teyes is shot to death when he comes home obnoxiously drunk and gets into an argument with housemate Francisco Cabrera at 2200 Lofty Heights Place in Reston.[4]
