Vernon L. Jones

Vernon L. Jones was Chief of the Vienna Police Department from 1965 to 1983.

A former Fairfax County Police officer, Jones joined the Vienna Police Department in 1960. In 1962, Jones became deputy chief, and took over as chief of the VPD on October 1, 1965.

After informing the Town Council of his intention in late August, Vienna Town Manager Brackenridge H. Bentley fired Chief Jones on September 2, 1983.[1]
