StreetShares
StreetShares is a social lending marketplace headquartered in Reston.
StreetShares offers short-term loans to member businesses of $3,000 to $50,000 which are funded by member investors. Once a loan proposal is funded, StreetShares then manages the transaction and repayment.
On May 2, 2014, StreetShares announced they had recieved $1.2 million in seed funding from Boston-based microlender Accion.[1]
