South Lakes High School is a public high school in Reston.

In 1998, Rely Rodriguez became the principal, serving until 2005.[1]

Bruce Butler moved up to take over as principal from Rodriguez in July 2005, and retired in 2012.[2][3]

In 2007, the school underwent a $48.2 million renovation to convert the open classroom design of the school to a more traditional layout.[3]

Kim Retzer was named principal of the school on June 21, 2012.[4]
