Nancy A. Rockcastle

Nancy A. Rockcastle (September 28, 1928 – October 23, 1975) was a 47-year-old woman who unintentionally turned her own suicide into a familicide when she used the family's Mercedes-Benz to asphyxiate herself in the garage of the family's rented home at 1433 Hardy Court in McLean on October 23, 1975.[1]

Fumes from the car's running engine filled not only the garage but the entire house with carbon monoxide, killing her husband Charles, a Navy captain, 6-year-old son Matthew, and fatally injuring her 13-year-old son Andrew.[1][2]
