Melvin Stevens

Melvin Stevens was a 28-year-old man who was unintentionally shot to death near his home on Dunn Loring Road (now Old Gallows Road) late on the night of October 5, 1931.[1][2][3]

Stevens was part of a party that included his brothers John and David and Constable Ben Runyon who were searching for the culprit that had been shooting at Stevens' house and that of a neighbor, Arthur J. Shugar when he was struck by a shotgun blast.[2]
