Kenneth Dawson

Kenneth A. "Kenny" Dawson (September 5, 1964 – March 20, 1976) was an 11-year-old Falls Church boy who was kidnapped, sexually assaulted and strangled to death by 21-year-old Arthur F. Goode, III near the Tysons Corner Center in McLean on March 20, 1976.[1]

Dawson had gone shopping with his mother Betty at the Seven Corners Shopping Center that morning, intending to catch a bus back to his home.[2] However, he was waylaid by Goode, who had earlier kidnapped 10-year-old Billy Arthes from Towson, Maryland on March 17, and taken to a wooded area ¼ mile north of the Tysons Corner Center, where Goode raped him and strangled him to death with a belt.

Dawson's corpse, nude except for his socks, was found on March 24.[1]
