Katrina P. Harrigan

Katrina Patrice "Teeney" Harrigan was a three-year-old child from Hyattsville, Maryland, who died after being left in a locked car by her babysitter, 24-year-old Kathy E. Daniel, outside Daniel's workplace, the office of food service company Nat Pac South, at 105 E. Annandale Road in the City of Falls Church on August 4, 1980.[1][2][3]

Daniel showed up to the Nat Pac office and was promptly fired. While Daniel claimed she was only out of the car for 15 minutes, investigators said Teeney Harrigan had spent nearly two hours in the hot car, which may have reached temperatures of 130 degrees.[1]

Upon discovering Teeney unconscious in the back seat, Daniel drove first to a Gino's restaurant in Arlington, where she attempted to revive her, then to Arlington Hospital, where Teeney was pronounced dead.[1]
