Jerome Wilson, Jr.

Jerome "Jaybird" Wilson, Jr. (November 22, 1944 – October 5, 1970) was a 25-year-old truck driver from Arlington who was shot and mortally wounded by his wife, 21-year-old Joan D. Wilson, as they waited with their two children in the parking lot of the Luther Jackson Intermediate School in Falls Church on October 4, 1970.[1][2]

Wilson then wrestled the .22 caliber revolver away from his wife and shot her to death. He was taken to Fairfax Hospital, where he died early the next morning.[1]
