Fairfax Station Railroad Museum

The Fairfax Station Railroad Museum is a museum in Fairfax Station.

It is housed in a reproduction of the old Fairfax Station railroad station, which was built using a small portion of reclaimed material from the original.

The plan had originally been to move the original station building, but upon dismantling the building in 1981, much of the material was found to be so deteriorated and damaged that a replica, incorporating as much of the original as was practical, was constructed instead. The museum was dedicated on October 17, 1987. [1]
