Fairfax Memorial Park

The Fairfax Memorial Park is a graveyard in Fairfax.

The cemetery was originally established in 1956 as the Calvary Memorial Park by lawyer Cornelius H. Doherty, Sr. as a Catholic graveyard.

In 1977, Calvary president Cornelius H. Doherty, Jr. announced the purchase of the adjoining Fairfax Memory Gardens and the renaming of the combined nonsectarian graveyard as Fairfax Memorial Park.[1]
