Alan L. Shelor

Alan L. Shelor (January 21, 1958 – October 10, 1974) was a 16-year-old Falls Church High School student who was fatally shot by 17-year-old Robert Jewell in the Analee Heights neighborhood of Falls Church on October 10, 1974.[1][2]

Shelor, one of a group of youths who had taunted Jewell for his complexion problems, foolishly brought a set of nunchucks to what turned out to be a gunfight.[3] Commencing the fight, Jewell fired a shot from the .45 caliber revolver he had brought, causing Shelor to take flight. Jewell ran him down and shot him twice more.[4]
