Garfield Elementary School is a public elementary school in Springfield.
The school originally opened in 1952 as Springfield Elementary School. However the school board didn't like the name, and voted to change it the following year.
In February 2014, assistant principal Christine Slattery became the principal of the school, replacing the departed Maureen Marshall, who moved to Stratford Landing Elementary School.
